Reverend Immanuel A.Agbozo, leader of the Ghana Evangelical Society (GES) on Tuesday said the nation can be redeemed from its turbulent times with truth, knowledge and the power of God.

Rev. Agbozo said the country could be saved from economic hardships and state of spiritual confusion, if the church, politicians and Ghanaians in general stand by the truth and embrace God to take control of the situation.

He made these remarks at a five-day National Redemption Crusade in Accra, to redeem the country from its current economic crises under the theme “They Shall Know the Truth.”

Rev. Agbozo said the fading confidence, faith, trust and hope in God by people in leadership positions and the devastating consequences of lies, injustice, unrighteousness and corruption, resulted to the crisis the country is battling with.

“Ghana stands as chosen, redeemed and blessed in divine light, but the Church and state, politics and governance are proving slow in responding to the corresponding transformation of life and conduct, according to the will of God,” he added.

He explained that the crusade was ordered by God to address the crisis and bring the faltering nation back on track and the divine will, knowledge and the glory of God, need to be affirmed into faith, trust and hope of the nation.

Rev Agbozo pointed out that the country was engulfed in leadership of darkness, and urged all to arise, stand and maintain their stand, as the nation and people blessed by God for his inheritance and kingdom in Africa and the World.

The GES is a non-denominational evangelistic movement with special commission on Church and the nation, with the motto: service to God, service to man.
