For some who have had contact with Archbishop D-W the most memorable period was the very early days when congregants consisting of a rag-tag group of secondary, university students college and university graduates, a variety of low paid workers and many unemployed thronged the services at Christian Action Faith Ministry held those days in the small hall of a Students Hostel in the Airport area ,then later on briefly in the classrooms of the Association Primary School and eventually at the half completed house of the Archbishop's fathers house. Those days the Archbishop was fondly known as Pastor Nick or Brother Nick. Many of the well known names of today attended services there, the Otabils, Heward-Mills and his gang from Achimota School, Ampiah Kwofie, later on Agyin-Asare and many others showed joined there. Hundreds of other less well known pastors also had their beginnings there.
Since then the Archbishop has had his share of criticism some justified but the vast majority motivated by sheer ill-will. The anonymity afforded by the internet makes it pretty easy for many to indulge in character assassination online. Today yit is virtually impossible to become a prominent leader or personality in any sphere of life (religious, political, entertainment etc etc) and not be targeted by all kinds of internet trolls and haters.
THERE APPEARS TO BE AN EXPONENTIAL RISE IN ON LINE ATTACKS ON VIRTUALLY ANYBODY WHO IS AN AUTHORITY FIGURE.
