Back to the fundamental problems causing such an extremely high rate of deadly road traffic accidents in Ghana:
1.TOO MANY DRIVERS WHO ARE NOT QUALIFIED TO BE ON THE ROAD (either they don't have a licence, or they had minimal or no training before getting their licences issued to them). This is possible because of rampant corruption by various officials including the police.
2.TOTAL DISREGARD FOR ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATIONS- RECKLESS OVERTAKING, OVERSPEEDING AND A TOTAL DISREGARD FOR PASSENGER SAFETY
3. TO MANY VEHICLES WHICH ARE NOT ROAD WORTHY BECAUSE THEY ARE POORLY MAINTAINED (BAD TIRES, BAD BRAKES ETC)
4.INDIFFERENCE AND A FAILURE BY SUCCESSIVE GOVERNMENTS TO FIX THIS CHRONIC PROBLEM
