There is no law in Ghana that calls for the arrest of homosexuals. Homosexuality is not a crime in Ghana so nobody should be arresting homosexuals. In societies where it is a crime, they cannot demand legal protection.

God has no pleasure sending anyone to the hell fire. It is only when people refuse to heed the warning given them that he will respect their choices.

"Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die (go to hell), O house of Israel?" (Ezekiel 33:11).

What is sin? (a transgression of the law.)

"Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law" (1 John 3:4).

How does God see us? (everyone is a sinner)

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).

"And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him" (1 John 2:3-4).

Anyone who practices sin (gays or heterosexuals )will not be in heaven.

"Outside are the dogs, the sorcerers, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood" (Revelation 22:16).

Jesus has solved our sin problem, and he invites us to partner with him to be victorious Christians . Note:

"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light" (Matthew 11:28-30) .

I could be a kleptomaniac and be a Christian but that does not make it right. Nobody is right but it does not mean we cannot condemn wrong in the society. Can we then speak against prostitution, idolatry, sexual promiscuity among others? We need not necessarily shun gay people but we just have to let them know it is not acceptable from the Christian/moslem and African point of view. That is what the Pope should have emphasized.

The homophic bigots go beyond condemning homosexuality. They call for arresting and in some instances tying them tothe stakes and shooting them. One well known commentator n this site the other day called for the arrest of homosexuals and sentencing them to death. REALLY? Frank, you want to sentence homosexuals to death? After all, the churches and are mosques are built for sinners. Jesus himself came to save sinners but not the righteous. What the Pope should have said is that it is wrong from the Christian point of view. We are degenerating into a situation where everything goes but we need not forget that we have social ethics. In Ghana for example, why do gay people go into the cooler? Because they know it is socially unacceptable and morally repugnant. We know of great people like Aristotle and Archimedes being gay but that does not make it right. I have met and been treated by well qualified surgeons that are gay but to me, it is wrong to be gay. Others can have their views.

Frank, don't get emotional and too personal, I too believe it is wrong to be gay and sinful as a Catholic but my sympathy for gays does not mean I agree with their behaviour but as a heterosexual, I find it abnormal for a man to want to have sex with another man so I believe in their biological make up has something to do with their behaviour that is why I don't foam on the mouth with hate because you will not hate somebody with DOWN SYNDROME if you believe homosexuals are born that way which I do.

And don't get your facts distorted: many stand against the practice and its lobbying as the Pope calls it; they are not against the persons who indulge in it or are fighting for its entrenching and flourishing! It's not about any judgement of a sinless soul on a gay! It's about discounting the lies and deception that you can choose to have sex with same gender but cannot engage in drug peddling and greed and corruption! If its about human rights don't ever call for the arrest of any drug pusher in society since it's their chosen means of making a living! So which foaming exists on the mouth of whatever bigots you're calling? Sickening to hear people coming so passionately to defend that shameful and sickening act under the guise of human rights the moment a powerful public figure endorses it directly or indirectly! Even if the Pope issues an edit today allowing Roman Catholic Priests to marry, the homosexual Priests will not marry women or the few that will do will not stop molesting boys because that is their sexual preference.

Just look at society at large where some men marry just to hide their homosexuality and have sex with women who they don't enjoy sexually and then have men or boys sexual partners. These are the dangerous ones who society have forced to do what they don't want to do and transmitting sexual diseases from their homosexual trists to the heterosexual community. Fear the BISEXUALS, they are more dangerous to your health than the homosexuals and what you think is a solution is rather a bigger problem.

For those fools who usually tag people who tell the truth about this issue as homosexuals, I am not one and will never be one because the thought of two men having sex makes my skin crawl but what two adult males do behind closed doors which in Ghana is not a crime is not my business. Let criminalize homosexuality and then I will back the public to arrests people who engage in such criminal behaviour. Homosexuality is morally wrong but legally in Ghana, it is not a crime and the government should criminalize that behaviour if they have the cojones.

let me ask you this questions please.
1.do the gay people believe in GOD.
2.If they do not believe in GOD why is it that we are judging them based on our believe.
3. will you be ok, if according to the gay believe they condenm marriage between man and woman.
4.if you have any concern, you should address it politely. do not think everybody believe in your quran or bible.
5.for anything from the most high will surely stand.
