Why on earth that an African christian faith that has been in existence way before a fraud named emperor Constatine of Rome concocted a paganism into so-called christianity at the council of Nicea in 325 AD, being granted a permission in Kwame Nkrumah's pan African Ghana, while TB Joshua and all other criminal whites can form a church in Ghana without informing no one?
How come?
This Coptic church is the true African Christian Church with true God-fearing Monks in the thousands as its core religious base in the mountains of Ethiopia. Their procession is in the style of our African tradition of drums, gong and blowing of ram horns.

Elinam, You're going on about "we", as if you know all Ghanaians and how we feel. You can readily same "some Ghanaians" and your point could be valid if it has validity. I'm however not sure how eating with one's fingers exalts one's status in life in anyway. I eat some foods with my fingers from habit because that is how my Ghanaian culture has taught me but I could choose to eat them with cutlery and there will be nothing demeaning about it. The fact that our ancestors ate with their fingers does not mean we have to do so. As Ghanaians, we adapt to the world as we wish like other nations and even wealthy nations adapt or they perish. Finally, you do not get to decide what people can hold onto in their culture and I do not believe for a single moment that a Ghanaian who eats with cutlery in posh restaurants feels inferior to a dog. I must however assert that your sentiments does suggest you have a sense of inferiority complex and cannot afford to eat in posh restaurants. Your first sentence does make total sense to me, however, I think you ruined your assertions with your subsequent comments.

You got me wrong. All 'am saying is in Ethiopia, where their food makes the menu in porsh restaurants, they eat with their hands and also show visitors to do the same and explain the rules of the right hand. In so doing, they get respected and feel comfortable with themselves and careless of a changing world. Their understanding of a changing world is to adapt very well to good business ethic because they feel comfortable in their skin.
And I repeat, the guy who says Ethiopians looks down on other Africans has to feel like that because he refused to see his self worth that's why I set many example for him to see that there's no need to think someone looks down on him. That's the mind playing games on him and with such a state of mind,if a dog stands up start walking on two legs with silky hair as he referred to the Ethiopian hair strands, you may think her attitude is sending you signals that she the dog is better than you.
Read the guy I was replying to before you put some blame on me.
All 'am saying is, we need to be proud of who we are as god did not make mistake with none of his creation and I mean it.
There's so much we can learn from the Ethiopians' patience and the ability to do things right. Their work ethics with national assets, the profitable airline industry, energy, clothing and many more.
If fufu and akple and okro soup could be served in our so-called high end restaurants, and show visitors to love it as we do, we also could be teaching whites how to eat with their hands as they do with the Ethiopians and Arabs when they are in the middle east. But we think akple and fufu do not belong in the high end eatery.

Elinam, I'm in agreement with you on most of your issues. I'm hoping I've understanding of what has previously been written. My disagreement is mainly on the issues of our culture. Resting on the issues of Ghanaian pride in local practices, a question for example, which we could ask is whether we should/could introduce the Ghanaian culture of sharing bowls of fufu etc. to groups of people (Europeans) who even abhor the thought of people picking chips off their plate with their forks, and perish the thought they did so with their fingers. Cultural values/practices are problematic and I for one do not want to eat with chopsticks as it is something new to learn amongst the thousands of things I need to learn, thus I'll use western cutlery in a Chinese restaurant and this is not to demean the Chinese culture in anyway. They have to allow me to eat the food the way I wish to eat it. Also, I'm generally unlikely to eat many foreign foods in a restaurant as I may not like them (foods) and do not want to pay for something I do not like, let alone in an expensive restaurant. However I appreciate that not everyone is like me and some may spend top money trying foreign foods and I wish the Ethiopians the best in this undertaking.
It could be the case that the Ethiopian cuisines served in their top eateries as illustrated may be easier to eat than fufu etc. or they are not eaten piping hot as with many Ghanaian cuisines. This will make the Ghanaian food difficult for European fingers, which hardly touch food and almost never touch hot food. Presenting food to foreigners is always a patient thing, which takes years or decades and food even may have to be tuned to the taste and sensibilities of foreigners as the Indians and Chinese do in Europe. This may have to be the case with Ghanaian food for Europeans. My view is that we should not view eating fufu with spoons etc. in a poor light as it offers others a way to get comfortable with it. My wife and children always eat fufu and akple with spoons. The main factor is they enjoy the food and they nevertheless are not diminished in anyway because of what they eat with. I've not managed to teach my wife to use her fingers in almost three decades and my children only occasionally do despite regular efforts and the fact that I eat almost everything with my fingers.
I think you are reading too much into the cutlery issue as it will have its place if fufu etc. have to be introduced into fine dining. In any case, you may agree with me that eating fufu with fingers cannot easily fit into what may be termed “high society” if dining must be undertaken in such situations. There are obviously international standards to be adhered to and it is not possible for an insignificant nation like Ghana to readily impose its culture on the world at this stage. And while the Ethiopians or Arabs may get foreigners to eat with their fingers, I'm hoping that you're not considering the European politeness in particular that aims at not offending for fear of the accusation of racism, is necessarily and readily the case of “they have been won over” and “they love our stuff”.
I am always evaluating our Ghanaian system to see how we can improve and move forward (whatever that may mean) and I feel that many Ghanaians need a more critical outlook at events than they currently do. One aspect is that while some generalisation is good, we should not over generalise. This is what too many Ghanains do like in your original comment or the guy who you were responding to who generalises that Ethiopians look down on us as if every Ethiopian will look down on every Ghanaian because he felt demeaned in Ethiopia. I see this kind of “Ashantis”, “Ewes” etc. or “we”, “all” etc. etc. Ghanaians too readily and believe they are very problematic and unhelpful assertions and one of the major issues that must be eliminated from our Ghanaian discussions to facilitate our better Ghana discourses.
Obviously the situations are complex and we will hopefully improve Ghana some day sooner rather than later as with your latter comment that was resting on how we could learn from Ethiopians. I expect we are both fighting for the best for Ghana. I wish you well :-)

Our problem is colonization has damaged us mentally but we won't accept it in order to get help and move forward. We want to act white but what we're rather doing is we took on the bad and wicked behaviors of the colonialists and left behind the practical-get-your-hand-dirty aspect.
In other hand, Ethiopia that had no colonial master, deeply believe they're masters of their destination and universe therefore depended on no one. They will consult for an idea learn from it and pay you off.
Meanwhile in Ghana, we believe only the white man could do things right so whatever we had, we mismanaged it with no shame in order for our master to come run it.
In 2013, Ethiopia airlines reached a target of planes they had targeted for 2015 by three more planes. Again, what they planned to get in 2015 was achieved two years earlier by three planes.
It never happened in Ghana before as we never achieved our own targets let alone bit it. Let truth be told and where there's praise for your fellow human, let it be known to all.
Our higher degrees are too much into our heads while we're short on practicality. They call that a boastful fool. And yes, that's what Ghana is full of.

Ghana has the potential to be great but it is lacking in top quality education, which is holding the nation back. There are no capable strategists to steer the nation from its present ponderous state. All we have is this situation of having pointless doctorate holders/professors etc. voted into presidential office because Ghanaians think any high academic qualification must be good for running the country. All the leaders do is continue the standard AID (begging bowl) programmes of rural development rather than embracing business strategy for development.

No one need either a church, some fairy tales scriptures, God, Allah, Jahweh or Jesus,to how human beings to use their senses, intellect and rationalities to behave towards the good, the bad and evil doings. Human beings have these senses in their gene which is gene-specific. It is also gene-specific that human beings solve their own problems based knowing their own self-responsibilities.
There is no any God who help any one for anything as well as no any devil who lead human beings to do evil things. This is what religion has brainwashed human beings about, so human beings do not want to take responsibilities in their life. Without exception, every individuals determines the good or bad for him/her self. There is no any demon who do bad things with us and there is no any God who provide us good things. Heaven and hell do not exist. Throw all this churches, God, Jesus and the scriptures away, they are worthless. Any evil or good things a person do, he or she is self-responsible about it. This happens with the thoughts a person harbours.
Use your own consciousness to prove in your own abilities and knowledge, that is where the ideas, creativities results. Might of your own consciousness ability power, thoughts and feelings. Depend on your consciousness capabilities, that will lead you to any success you have to work hard on it!!!

This is an indigenous African church unadulterated by Western culture and values.
We welcome the Ethiopian Orthodox church to Ghana! I believe Madam Fathia Nkrumah was a member of the Egyptian Coptic Church.
In fact the Bible records the presence of Christianity in Africa during the days of Jesus. Simon of Cyrene and his children Rufus and Alexander came from present day Libya. It appears that Simon, an innocent passerby, was compelled to carry the cross of Jesus because he stood out from the crowd - he was black. This was a palpable act of racism by the Roman soldiers.
In Acts 8:26-40 the story of the Ethiopian eunuch also shows that there were christians in Africa. Further references are made in Acts and the Epistles to Simon, Rufus and Alexander as well as Simeon called Niger(Black)

Kebra Negast means Glory of Kings
Give I and I Selassie I and keep the images of lies for
yourself
People without a vision perish like suicide
You tell me its not about color
Still you refuse to take the picture off the wall
All you do is trick the brothers and keep them confused
They don't know who to call in this spiritual war
Nah tell me, have a paradise in the sky, well that's a lie
And nah tell me, I was born in sin and shaped
In inequity when love created I
Look how many prophets tried
To open our eyes, you can't fool me
Look how they're treating us
New millennium slavery
Hiding the chains and still
beating us daily
Now we mentally poisoned to fight we black skin
And bleaching ah the in thing far out and far in sin
You tell me its not about color
Still you refuse to take the picture out your books
I know that's not how we look, kush
All you do is trick the brothers and keep them confused
They don't know who to call in this heretical war
Don't tell me, have a paradise in the sky
But that's a lie
Don't tell me, I was born in sin and shaped
In inequity when love created I
Look how many prophets tried
To open our eyes, you can't fool me
Kadamawe, Kadamawe, Kadamawe

When Jah created I.

We are all Ethiopian from creation as the forth river which came out the Garden of Eden compass the whole land of Ethiopia, now at the time of creation this whole continent was called Ethiopia even up to 1771 there are maps which name this continent Ethiopia so before colonization called us Africans, we were all Ethiopians then they gave us back a divide continent so you are Ghanaian, next to you is Togolese or Nigerians etc. They establish the artificial borders and Boundaries which are still in place and separates our one people. Amos Ch.9 vs 7 states "are ye not as the children of the Ethiopians unto me Oh Children of Israel" and the Psalms says "the Ethiopians shall soon stretch forth their hands unto God. Ethiopia has the only Throne which its Kings can trace their descendent from the Loins of King David who is heir to the promise of God that he would have a Throne on this Earth for ever which is the seat in which Christ shall return (Act 2vs30).

I think it's a good idea because I came to Ghana from Ethiopia with my family and it would be great to wake up every Sunday and go to church. I've lived in Ethiopia for 13 years and I was born there, I am an Ethiopian. So why can't there be an Ethiopian church in Ghana. After all, we are all human, it doesn't matter that we don't look the same. Because deep down we're all the same.
