1. Source. Apart from '...the Catholic Church' and 'Cardinal Salvadore' nothing is said about the exact source. Was the piece from a book, magazine, (what literature - the name, authors, publishers, date of publication etc.)preaching or lecture (who was preaching/lecturing, where and when was he/she preaching?)or what?

2. Apart from being, "A SPOKESPERSON for the Vatican...", what else do we know about Cardinal Salvadore to convince us that he is an authority on matters like what 'he talks' about?

These and many other questions need answers that do not lent themselves to doubts, for any sane person to accept the credibility of such a story.

Now, to the issue of Jesus's drunkeness. Whoever conceived the story might have failed to appreciate the import of what Jesus meant in Matthew 11 vrs 18 and 19 when he said '...the Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, 'Behold a glutton and a drunkard....'.

Readers should read those verses in the Bible and ponder well over it. Then, they (readers)would realize that Jesus was speaking to a group of people who saw themselves as ultra-righteous. Such persons could not believe that a person (Jesus) who is accepted among many ordinary folks as a prophet and a Holy one of God could eat and take in alcohol. Nor should such a person be friends to tax-collectors, adulterers, any any such as considered to be unholy and therefore sinners.

But, the truth of the matter was and is that JESUS RULED and RULES OVER SIN AND WHAT MAN CONSIDERS UNHOLY. So to him he can take alcohol, but he would not alcohol take control of his life. He could freely make friends with young women, but he would not fornicate.

It wasn't, therefore, because he was a drunkard who in his drunkenness said whatever the spirit of alcohol gave him the power to utter. ALL WHAT HE HAS SAID IS TRUE AND THEY WOULD COME TO PASS. SO DEAR READER DON'T BE DECEIVED BY SUCH FALSE AND BLASPHEMIES.

The best that can be offered of any is self - Jesus is God unto man. God had exalted His word above all others, Jesus is the immutable word of God. It is unthinkable that the word of God will be so affected as to lose identification. In essence, what we are saying in dismissing the declaration is that God is incapable of doing what He said. Moreover, the argument seems to be showing the weariness that is associated with men and not God. Actually, hope differed can make the soul to weary. When we talk about "backsliding", this can be typical example of what we meant. Now, let it be known that anybody can be exhausted but not our God. Talking to people more and better informed, Jesus was sceptical of their faith to stand to the end. He said; "...will I meet faith on earth when I return?". I am unruffled that any body, for that matter, is professing anything at all. I am just concerned that we are loosing the battle over some souls to the satan. Let me renew your hope; "JESUS IS COMING BACK AGAIN!"

A SPOKESPERSON for the Vatican has officially announced today that the second coming of Jesus, the only son of the God, may not happen now after all, but urged followers to still continue with their faith, regardless of the news.

Cardinal Giorgio Salvadore told WWN that this years 1,981st anniversary is to be the Vatican’s last in regards to waiting for the Lord to return to Earth.

“We just feel Jesus is not coming back by the looks of it.” he said. “It’s been ages like. He’s probably flat out doing other really good things for people somewhere else.”

Nearly two thousand years ago, Jesus promised his disciples that he would come again in chapter John 14:1-3 of the bible: “There are many homes up where my Father lives, and I am going to prepare them for your coming. When everything is ready, then I will come and get you, so that you can always be with Me where I am. If this weren’t so, I would tell you plainly”

The Vatican defended Jesus’ broken promise, claiming “he was probably drinking wine” at the time when he made the comments.

“Having the ability to turn water into wine had its ups and its downs.” added Cardinal Salvadore. “We all make promises we can’t keep when we’re drunk. Jesus was no different.”

The church said it will now focus attentions on rebuilding its reputation around the world, but will keep an optimistic mind for the savior’s second coming.

My friends, the knowledge of God (Theology) without personal relationship and intimacy with God is mere academic. It is the anointing of Gad that makes one a Christian and overcomer and not the "leadership" of Pope, Cardinals, Priests, Pastors etc.
So much dependence on such persons leads to corruption and manipulation by these people b'cos the human heart according the Bible is more deceiptful than anything. So Christians listen to what such "leadres" have to say but depend of the Holy Spirit for "counseling, Wisdom and understanding". That is why Christ sent Him for us. I have a personal relationship with Christ and have experienced His power in my life so no matter what proof man develops to the effect that Christianity is false will change my faith.
Remember, Rome was the worst persecuter of Christ and Christains and killed most of the Aposples and latter disciples and when they couldn't destroy the faith decided to adopt it into their anciect idol worshipping to corrupt and destroy it in a subtle way.

His newest tactic is using all the errors of catholic church to accuse it and make those of us christian non catholic to hate the catholic church the more that way we'll never be united in God's one solid doctrine.Both the catholic church have good things and errors at the same time it's only humility on the path of both sides that can unite us in God's sound doctrine. Riding ourselves of the pride of "we are the only ones on the right path" and accepting that we are all fallible will do us some good, otherwise the devil will continue to have a fields day in our divisions and turn us against each other.I blame both the catholic and protestants for arrogance and pride. AMEN, Father, at least I can have a peace of mind that this story has been refuted by you as not being true.

I came across the news item at Peacefm, a reliable news site and thought it was true and as a Catholic, I was troubled by it so I went to where Peace fm sourced this news, waterfordwhispersnews.com, a newspaper in Ireland, a dominant Catholic country and not a Muslim or Hindu hating Christian country so I was troubled and decided to bring it to the attention of Ghanaweb so that somebody can refute this story and put my heart and soul in peace that this is a false story, that is the oly reason why I brought this story out.

A SPOKESPERSON for the Vatican has officially announced today that the second coming of Jesus, the only son of the God, may not happen now after all, but urged followers to still continue with their faith, regardless of the news.

Cardinal Giorgio Salvadore told WWN that this years 1,981st anniversary is to be the Vatican’s last in regards to waiting for the Lord to return to Earth.

“We just feel Jesus is not coming back by the looks of it.” he said. “It’s been ages like. He’s probably flat out doing other really good things for people somewhere else.”

Nearly two thousand years ago, Jesus promised his disciples that he would come again in chapter John 14:1-3 of the bible: “There are many homes up where my Father lives, and I am going to prepare them for your coming. When everything is ready, then I will come and get you, so that you can always be with Me where I am. If this weren’t so, I would tell you plainly”

The Vatican defended Jesus’ broken promise, claiming “he was probably drinking wine” at the time when he made the comments.

“Having the ability to turn water into wine had its ups and its downs.” added Cardinal Salvadore. “We all make promises we can’t keep when we’re drunk. Jesus was no different.”

The church said it will now focus attentions on rebuilding its reputation around the world, but will keep an optimistic mind for the savior’s second coming.

Let's ask the so-called "Cardinal of Truth" his source of information. Is he also at the Vatican? Could he have been the only person to have heard the "questionable" cardinal? Why don't we have the same information on BBC, CNN, Zenit, Al-Jazeera, etc.?

Let's bear in mind that we all have our freedom of speech/expression.Yet, our rights also entitles us to the responsibility of respecting the dignity of others.

The Catholic Church has suffered enough mockery and attacks, but it has stood the test of time. I advice my brothers and sisters who're still expressing hateful feelings towards the Church to repent. For, Jesus will surely come again, as we profess in our creed: "He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead."

I came across the news item at Peacefm, a reliable news site and thought it was true and as a Catholic, I was troubled by it so I went to where Peace fm sourced this news, waterfordwhispersnews.com, a newspaper in Ireland, a dominant Catholic country and not a Muslim or Hindu hating Christian country so I was troubled and decided to bring it to the attention of Ghanaweb so that somebody can refute this story and put my heart and soul in peace that this is a false story, that is the oly reason why I brought this story out.

A SPOKESPERSON for the Vatican has officially announced today that the second coming of Jesus, the only son of the God, may not happen now after all, but urged followers to still continue with their faith, regardless of the news.

Cardinal Giorgio Salvadore told WWN that this years 1,981st anniversary is to be the Vatican’s last in regards to waiting for the Lord to return to Earth.

“We just feel Jesus is not coming back by the looks of it.” he said. “It’s been ages like. He’s probably flat out doing other really good things for people somewhere else.”

Nearly two thousand years ago, Jesus promised his disciples that he would come again in chapter John 14:1-3 of the bible: “There are many homes up where my Father lives, and I am going to prepare them for your coming. When everything is ready, then I will come and get you, so that you can always be with Me where I am. If this weren’t so, I would tell you plainly”

The Vatican defended Jesus’ broken promise, claiming “he was probably drinking wine” at the time when he made the comments.

“Having the ability to turn water into wine had its ups and its downs.” added Cardinal Salvadore. “We all make promises we can’t keep when we’re drunk. Jesus was no different.”

The church said it will now focus attentions on rebuilding its reputation around the world, but will keep an optimistic mind for the savior’s second coming.

One thing i note here is for a cardinal to use the term 'the God' which is not referring to the true God, making rubbish of the whole nonsense. Come in any form, Christianity and the Catholic Church is moving forward.

We are to still believe that Jesus is coming back again. The bible says that there will be a time when people will no longer believe that he is coming back. If it is because he has not yet come that people are doubting the second coming of christ, christ is only waiting for people to repent before he comes back. The bible says that he will come like a thief in the night which means it will be at a time when people will no longer expect him to come. As people are saying that there is no second coming, the time when people will not expect him to come is drawing nearer.
