Islamism per se is NEVER the problem. The problem is RELIGIOUS FANATICISM, which history, both the past and the present, reveals clearly that exists in EVERY religion. We must all condemn Boko haram, al-Qaeda et al.,but we must never condemn Islamism because the problem is the "people" not the "religion". -Honor and dignity mean different things to different cultures. In islam, it honorable and dignifying to kill women accused of adultery while their male counterparts are allowed to go free or are given a lighter punishment. It is also honorable in Islam to persecute Christians and stop them from spreading their religion in muslim lands while spreading theirs in christian countries should not be hindered by anyone or else, war.
-It is also honorable for muslims to marry children because Mohammed married a six year old girl and slept with her when she was nine years but a despicable thing among non muslims.
Husseini said women who expose their nudity feel ashamed when men steal glances at them.
-This is true, but immorality should not be gender biased in definition. While muslim women are forced to appear decently on the outside, muslim men are permitted by Allah to rape women of their enemies in war. They are also permitted by their prophet to engage in muta(temporary marriages) whenever they are away from their wives such as in a holiday or business trips. As a result, muta has been a common practice in Egypt and Indonesia where wealthy Arab men throng to spend the weekends marry muslim girls from poor families only for the marriages to be broken when they leave for their countries the following week.
Husseini said muslims are sanctioned to fight only in self-defence.
- This is a big lie. All Mohammend's wars were offensive. In one day alone in Medina, he beheaded about 900 Jews for deciding to remain neutral in a battle between muslims and the pagans of Mecca who engaged him in a battle because he and his followers kept on raiding caravans of Meccan businessmen. Mohammed therefore did not know that mulims were only to fight in self defense.
-Muslims are also commanded in the Islamic scriptures to fight unbelievers until they admit there is no god but Allah and Mohammed is his messenger.
Husseini said the prophet was replete with mercy because he released nursing mothers captured in war for slavery.
- What right did he have to take them captive in the first place? Would you praise Shekau of boko haram and call him merciful if he heads to the global call for the release of the 300 girls? Mohammed was replete with mercy yet beheaded 900 Jewish men and together with his followers raped their women the very day their husbands,fathers and brothers were killed? You are very sick in the mind to think that this is a form of mercy. He also assasinated all those who criticized him and removed the eyeballs of a 109 year old man who criticized him for his excesses. A merciful prophet indeed.
Huseini said slavery was eventually outlawed and abolished by Mohammed in Medina.
-Why did Allah not outlaw it in the quran by substituting it with another revelation as he often did whenever he changed his mind on something. Is it Allah or Mohammed who is to be obeyed? I believe some of your information is from hadiths(biographies of Mohammed) that have been dismissed by muslims as unauthentic. Please next time tell as which hadith your information is from. Some of us are very descerning and can't be deceived by your usual Islamic tactic of taqyyiah(the islamic theological term referring to the use of deception on unsuspecting non mulims to make islam look good and appealing to them).
-Again you fail to tell us the particular hadith in which Mohammed is said to have sent a letter to St. Catherine's monastery and his advocacy on good treatment of chritians by muslims. So how come christians are persecuted and treated as less humans in Islamic countries. Under isslamic law(sharia), the testimony of christians and women is 50 per cent that of a muslim man. Is this the fair treatment you said your prophet advocated? Your prophet said before he died that christians and jews should have their worship places destroyed throughout the Arabian peninsular, something the grand mufti of Soudi Arabia continue to insist on for which churches are being outlawed in some places in the UAE. Allah also placed the jizya(humiliation) tax on christians and jews and if they refuse to honor those taxes, they are to be killed by muslims. Your prophet did not advocate any fair treatment of christians.
Husseini also compared the status of women in ancient civilizations with that of 21ST century Islam.
-Husseini, are women allowed to travel alone in Saudi Arabia without a male escort who should be a relative?
-are women in Saudi Arabia allowed to drive?
-are women in purely islamic states allowed to work like their men do?
-in your worship centers, are they not confined to a small space at the back of the mosques with a veil separating them from the men?
-are they allowed to also marry as many as four husbands and just as their men are allowed to marry four wives?
Then he Husseini concluded by quoting verses that advocate against terrorism and this time around, he gave the necessary references.
-all the references given are from the Islamic scriptures and true, but one thing he has not told us is that those peaceful verses of the quran he quoted were the earlier revelations given to Mohammed by Allah. Those verses were abrogated and replaced with the violent verses of the quran the terrorists quote to justify their terrorism, when Mohammed won a lot of followers to be able to form a strong army to wage war against the unbelievers. So those verses Husseine quote in practice are redundant eventhough they exist in the quran. And this is something every student of Islam is taught.
