  The atrocities of these two monotheistic religions have been well documented. Unfortunately, most people today, esp. Africans upon whom much of that atrocity was visited, are more aware of the atrocities of the Christians than that of the Muslims. Perhaps, it is because the Christians came to dominate the whole world, including the Islamic and their major atrocities were of a more recent nature, whereas that of the Muslims ended with their conquest by the Christians until the recent start of same with the resurgence of Islam.
  
  As I had argued elsewhere and posted on Ghanaweb too, this unawareness of the atrocities of Islam has been making Africans and African-Americans to embrace Islam. Many other religious people see embracing Islam as a reaction to the hypocrisy of Christianity, swayed by the lies and one-sided selective quotes from the Qur'an and stories about Islam as posted by Hussein here. The records of how Muslims negated the very same admonitions of Muhammed are also there. Did he not, for instance, in gratitude to his Ethiopian mentor who wrote the Qur'an, being an illiterate himself, commanded that, as for the Ethiopians, leave them alone in their proselytizing wars but this was not heeded and the Islamic marauding forces invaded Ethiopia which then had its centre current Eritrea, and thereby setting the stage for the wars that ended recently with the granting of indep to Eritrea?
  
  Yes, there are many Hadiths which support those atrocities, and we know the Hadiths are treated with much authority just like the Qur'an.
  
  Quoting Christian atrocities as a response to Paa Nii is hardly a logical response. In fact, it is fallacious! It doesn't contradict nor negate what Paa Nii wrote, and what some of us have been saying openly since the 1990s.
  
  Btw, it is not a "fact of history" that Adam is father of mankind. It is religious claim of the 3 Adamaic religions which is not subscribed to by history as a subject or all the sciences. In fact, other religions don't subscribe to that bogus myth either.

  Indeed, Husseni passes off several such claims as "facts of history" which they are not. They are just claims not supported by any acceptable evidence. Even the Hadiths he quotes are not provable facts of history but just claims.
  
  But what annoys me is his selective quoting of history to show Islam in a good light. For every "good" thing he says about Islam, there are several well-documented things about the religion that are not favourable. Husseni shamelessly steers far clear of those.
  
  He is trying to tell us that THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH ISLAM! But there are several things wrong with Islam. There have always been several things wrong with Islam and there always will be. This statement is also true of Christianity as well as Judaism. Husseni should not try to tell us here that Islam is any different from Christianity and Judaism when it comes to the committing of atrocities. It is only Judaism whose atrocities are less and more based on myth than fact. But Islam and Christianity - same same.

  Some of us have also read the same history you are so shamelessly quoting selectively. Islam was a peaceful religion so long as it was the underdog relion. When it started conquering other peoples because of better military strategy and might (which have nothing to do with any God but which Muslims all too willingly ascribe to Allah) it was as brutal as the Christians you talk of - perhaps even more brutal. The Muslim armies also suffered defeats which the believers attributed to Allah deserting them for wrongs they had done even though those defeats were clearly due to the balance of military might going against them.
  
  Even the Jews, the smallest of the monotheistic religions, also had military successes in which they tortured their victims as well as humiliating defeats.
  
  Husseini, stop this thing about Islam being a natural religion. THERE IS NO NATURAL RELIGION IN THE WORLD. ALL RELIGIONS ARE MAN MADE - INCLUDING ISLAM. You hold your current views only because you were born a muslim and from your mother's breast taught to revere Islam and regard it as supreme WITHOUT QUESTION! A supreme tenet of Islam is to accept that there is only one God, Allah, and Muhammed is his messenger. YOU CAN NEVER QUESTION THIS even if you have evidence to do so.
  
  Islam has been around for 1400 years. Yet it has not been able to conquer all other religions which are older than it. It is because Islam is just like any other religion - not worse or better!
  
  This thing about Islam's adherents increasing is just a farce. Even if everybody in the world is a Muslim, that, in itself, is not a proof that Islam is righteous!!!
  
  Try rather to address the many gaping contradictions in Islam which you claim is natural and from God. Try to convince those of us who were not born Muslims about that and stop quoting a few people who have converted to Islam. People are converting to other religions all the time, it is not only to Islam!
