It is within CHRISTIANS,THEREFORE WE SHOULD SHINE AS THE LIGHT OF THIS WORLD.
The bible says in ISAIAH 60:1 that:
Arise,shine,for thy light is come,and the glory of the Lord is risen unto thee.

SO YOU CAN DO WHAT YOU WOULDN'T HAVE NATURALLY BEEN ABLE TO DO.

If this hell shit was true why would the messenger (European) ignore the religion? We Africans have refused to have a mind of our own. The Europeans had Gods like Africans did back then but they realized the concept was becoming outmoded so they carved out the Jewish religion. So call Prophet Muhammad traded with Jews (only people that had one God then) and carve out Islam from Judaism.
We refused to codify our own religion because we are lazy and have no mind of our own. Every major race, except blacks, has its own religion. I used to be religious back home but i have given up thanks to living in the USA.
