Sorry, Christian and Muslim are not serving one God. Christians believe in the Trinity i.e. God the Father, The Son and the Holy Ghost. But Muslims don't believe in Jesus being the Son of God but He is only a Prophet.

Christians follow a master who taught forgiveness and more so he advised his followers to "turn the other cheek."
You follow a man who would not insult, judge or condemn even those who nailed him to the cross. Just last week, Christians the world over were busy extolling the virtues of the man. Did you not hear that he said, "Father, forgive them for they know what they are doing", just before he died?
If you believe in the man and you do not attempt to do what he would do; say what he would say, then, I am sorry sir; you must as well stop following him. Jesus does not need you to fight his wars for him. Indeed, he has no wars to fight.

Your own mind is even more polluted than Takadia's. I don't know what that Nkansah man hopes to achieve by that ill-informed act! I'm wondering whether the Muslim elders approached him for a mosque or he did it just to gain publicity? They should continue to pray by the road side or even in the middle of the road if they so wish or want.
Finally, your assertion that "Jesus does not need anyone to fight his wars for him and that he has no wars to fight" is your own thought. If you are very current, take a look at what ISIS is doing in the Middle East and tell Jesus Christ to come down from wherever he is to fight (his own war) ISIS now.

If he doesn't agree with Jesus' statement then that is his own cup of tea. But if he shares the same opinion with other believers on what Christ said then he is not doing them any good by building a mosque for them.
I attended a teacher training College in the north and Christians and Muslim lived in peace. If the Elder is afraid to share the gospel truth with his Muslim brothers building them a mosque will not bring them to God true Christ who is known to our Muslim brothers as Annabi Issah.

Muslims want Ghana government to sponsor Hajj operations. Muslims always want government to build their mosques for them. This happened in Bolga in 2009 when the Muslims there threatened Mark Woyongo to build their mosque for them because they claim the NDC used muslim votes to come to power. In year 2000, the muslim community in Ghana threatened mayhem if the Ghana Statistical Service does not massage census figures to make Muslims look majority in Ghana. The question then is, is the Muslim god so feeble and cheap that he always wants government assistance to survive.

" Its equal to building a shrine for the traditionalists to worship their gods."
We worship our creator Nyame-Nyankopon-Odumankoma, the mother of the earh Nana Yaa Asase through Abosom (children of God) and Nananom.Just like you cannot talk to an Akan King directly, but through his linguist, the same way we do not talk directly to God. If someone pours libation without mentioning the Supreme being and Nana Asaase Yaa, then he is not a proper traditional priest.
Christians are rather hypocrites! If one really has a problem with his/her own culture, then he must stop practising it! That person must stop in performing Akan naming ceremonies, stop conducting funerals in the Akan fashion, stop pouring libation, stop engaging in Akan festivals such as Akwasidae, stop the practice of customary marriages, even stop bearing an Akan soul/day names, since they have a spiritual connection to the cosmology of the Akan people. They must also avoid praising Nyame/Nyankopon since this is how the Akans referred to their creator. They must stop practising all aspects of their culture. One cannot say I embrace my culture, but I reject the spiritual aspect of it. This is not possible, one does not exist without the other.
Christianity is by its history one of the cruelest religions. How many people have died in the name of Christ, Christianity and Catholicism? Thousands and millions were killed, who refused to accept Christianity and their holy places being destroyed.Entire cities had been wiped out in the name of Christianity. Not to mention the numerous religious wars i.e. Catholic extermination camps,Catholic terror in Vietnam,Rwanda Massacres (where the catholic church had been actively involved) of course it does not end there, it goes on with the killings of Indians in South America etc. Even Hitler referred to the bible when killing Jews.
Figures like ABA-DUA-BA or the symbol of BAAL and the ANKH (NKWA) symbol of our ancient EGypt is seen in the open place where the Roman Catholic Popes often meet their international Catholic audience, as well as the whole United Nations Confeerence Hall. The AKU_ABA symbol can also be seen as the architectural design at the entrances of many church houses. Those foreign cultures have still gone so far by selecting and using some of our Adinkra and many other symbols for their own purpuse.
Do not tell other people is against your culture, when you are not even practising your own culture. Serving one`s father is against Akan culture. For a woman to be submissive is against Akan culture. Name me one single matrilineal Akan clan, which was founded or lead by a woman? In the olden days we did not even have male rulers. Why? Because we are a matrilineal society!
