Why should governments involve itself in individual religious pilgrimage? This useless socialist propaganda initiated by late Kwame Nkrumah to appease Moslems for their votes should come to an end. It is a known fact that Moslems in Brong Ahafo Region were receiving free tickets to embark on this pilgrimage in Nkrumah's era just to buy their votes. Successive governments after him also continued this nonsense by funding a program which is of no national interest but rather a drain in the economy.

Government should abstain itself from certain religious groups of its activities. No where in the world with exception of third world countries where irresponsible governments would appease weaker minds with such religious freebees with the main intention of winning their votes.
