In the bible the yardstick of Christianity is not measured by the number of miracles one can count "consistently"; or one's ability to prophesy on numerous occasions; but rather it is the consistency in obeying God's Law through grace. Let's not forget that Balaam was a false prophet, but God used him to prophesy about Christ's first advent in the most sublime language, not elsewhere found in the Bible.

You see, the greatest of all miracles is salvation in Christ, when God applies the merits of Christ's righteousness of grace to our accounts: freedom from the penalty of sin; freedom
from the power of sin (the go and sin no more stage); and freedom from the very presence of sin in the hereafter,

Note obedience by faith in the life of the believer.
1. JESUS SETS THE EXAMPLE

a. "Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me,
I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart." Psalm 40:7-8

1b.Jesus obeyed the will of His Father consistently, and without transgressing His Law.

"Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven." Matthew 7:15

2a. Jesus chose to obey His Father's Law.

"...that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do."
John 14:31

3a. The believer will obey all of God's commandments, as exemplified by Jesus

"If ye love me, keep my commandments." John 14:10

4a The work of an investigative judgment has been in session 24x7 for several years now in heaven. It is known as the cleansing of the sanctuary--Daniel 8:14. This investigation of the believer's works is necessary before Jesus comes again and resurrect the dead, and rescue the living saints at His second coming. It is about consistency in keeping God's commandments faithfully; not "the ability to raise the dead consistently"

BASIS OF THE JUDGMENT OF GOD'S PEOPLE

4b. The judgment is based on God's Law. Its obedience by faith in Christ. Again it is not only who you know in heaven, but who knows you in heaven that matters, because you will either be adjudged righteous (not guilty), or condemned (guilty).

"For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil." Ecclesiastes 12:14

THE GIFT OF OBEDIENCE DETERMINES WHOSE SIDE WE BELONG IN THE WAR BETWEEN GOOD AND EVIL

"And the dragon (Satan) was wroth with the woman (God's true church), and went to make war with the remnant of her seed (the faithful in Christ), which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

The covenant of Grace calls for faithfulness in keeping the Law of God.

5a. BUT HOW DOES ONE KEEP THE LAW WHEN ONE IS IN A CHURCH WHICH HAS VERY LITTLE REGARD FOR GOD'S LAW?

"Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

And what concord hath Christ with Belial (Satan)? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,

And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty." 2 Corinthians 6:14-18.
