The holy catholic church is forever dedicated for
the welfare of the youth eversince Pope Saint John Paul II founded the youth
organisation group bearly eight years in his pontificate in 1985.
Since then, global catholic youths have gathered every two or three years to socialise with fellow
catholics in other dioceses and archeparchies.
The most recent been Madrid, Spain in 2011 and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 2013.
Indeed we owe our leaders a bunch of grattitude from John Paul II to our youth chaplains who have championed this course.
And to our episcopal chairman of Youth and Laity, Archbishop Charles G. Palmer-Buckle for his leadership guardiance for the past few years.
Bravo to all GCBC members who are championing the quest for youthful interaction globally every three years and i hope our recent consecrated prelates: Bishop John Bonaventure Kwofie,CSSPs of Sekondi-Takoradi, Bishop John Yaw Afoakwa of Obuasi, Bishop Emmanuel Kofi Fianu,SVD and Bishop-elect Richard Baawobr,MAfr of Wa will follow the same pattern.
