President Mahama has chastised the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) for not selecting a competent northerner as its flagbearer.

Citing an example of former Vice President Ahaji Aliu Mahama, President Mahama accused the NPP for paying little attention to northerners.

According to him, the NPP has shown in the past that it has very little respect for northerners and therefore cannot be trusted.

The President made the remarks in Tongo when he resumed his camping tour of the Upper East region after suspending it for three days to attend to the victims of the Melcom disaster in Accra.

He said “our brother Aliu Mahama was Vice President for 8 years. I was Vice President for 3 and half years. For almost 12 years, we have tasted Vice Presidency. It’s no longer exciting. It’s no longer what we want.”

He said if the NPP wants votes from the northern part of the country, then they should put up Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia as their flagbearer to face-off with him.

“They want to win here, they should put him in number one and let two of us contest and then they will get something from here,” the president said.

Meanwhile, President Mahama has described the defeat of the republicans in the US elections as a good omen for the ruling NDC and an indication that similar thing will be replicated in Ghana in the upcoming elections.

According to him, anytime the democrat party win an election in the US, the NDC also wins in Ghana, making reference to the 2008 elections.

He said: “In 2008 polls in the USA, Obama won by chasing the elephant into the bush and later the NDC also chased the elephant into the bush in Ghana, and just this week, Obama has again chased the elephant into the bush, which will be replicated in Ghana in December.”

He said the performance of the NDC government in the last four years is enough evidence to encourage more Ghanaians to vote massively for the party in the forthcoming elections.

President Mahama said inspite of the increase in wage bills as a result of the implementation of the single spine salary structure, government is still economically solid to execute more development projects in the phase two of the Better Ghana Agenda.

The election year is the cocoa season for a large section of the Ghanaian population. There are the givers and the takers. The givers are normally candidates for Presidential and parliamentary seats. The takers include, chiefs, foot-soldiers, religious and opinion leaders. Prophets who predict election results are classified with foot=soldiers, they prophesy or predict what is pleasing to the ear of the politician. The shortest route to the pocket of a politician in an election year is through a false prophesy. Telling these prophets to stop their activities is like banning collection during church services.

Look at SADA, GYEEDA, WOYOME, STX, EMBRAER aircraft deal, inflated project costs for Kumasi and Tamale airports rehabilitation, inflated project costs for Kasoa and circle interchange projects, Nayele cocaine saga, gold bars in Turkey, AMERI, MMT bus rebranding scandal etc etc. John Mahama attends the Assemblies of God church and I'm sure that the church is not happy about the high levels of corruption in the government.

In US and Canada the elections experts predict everything because they have guys who are good for doing that, and Ghana doesn't have such genuine nonpartisan bodies to predict, why don't you tell those who always rigging elections to stop instead? because they cause curses by allowing people to mock great prophets on the land, and insulting great ministers of the gospel, you're not a prophet and you don't see what they see ,you don't hear what the prophets hear some base on worldly understanding you're talking from but listen God chooses the foolish things to confined the wise, if of truth God is using their prophecies to do and preparing great things who are you?

That people are predicting and prophesying the end results of 2016 elections all to the detriment of our church member President. Have you sat down to think about the nation in which you live and the mismanagement your member and his cronies are unleashing on the nation. Anytime Rev. Otabil opens up and talk about it he is subjected to NDC ridicule to the extent that one stupid NDC member said Otabil is a security threat to the nation. Rev. Wengam have you thought about all those issues when a fellow Reverened is always insulted or abused in that shameful manner. Do you have any thoughts about that Reverened. All you are concerned about is your church member president because currently all the needs of Assemblies of God churches are being met clandestinely so you must sing to the tune of your church member by speaking against prophecies and predictions that doesn't promote the the good name of your member's party. What a hypocrisy is that. Jesus l pray should delay his coming a little bit else most us so called Christians will not go to................... I'm not a prophet of doom.

Instead of monitoring the jerks in their mist, they rather chose to meddle in politics. They allow the ignorant gullible masses to be fleeced of their hard earned savings. Instead of the simply lifestyle taught by Jesus, they live ostentatiously at the expense of their poor congregants. Guess what! All these quake prophets are destined to hell. For Christ will not recognize them as His own.

What is different about election prophecies and the others? This stomach preacher politicians should spare us. He should rather pray hard against those he perceived as enemies of progress in the political arena.
