The Bishop has not 'resigned" as contained in this statement but has "retired" as a Bishop Emeratus. Resignation would mean he has renounced his priestly obligations and vows. Retirement means he is still a Catholic Priest an ...

Thank You Bishop, You Have Done Well. Now you are free to have children.Stay blessed.

  • Steve, Koftown 8 years ago

Stop blaspheming, Kwame! The Bishop is 75 years and has to retire compulsorily and become bishop emeritus, simply meaning he is still a bishop of the church but has retired from Administrative work.

  • Peace 8 years ago

Why can Popes serve above the age of 75 but Bishops can't? Religion is all hoax - the opium of the masses.

Bishopric is an Order whilst becoming a Supreme Pontiff is just an office. Please quote Karl Marx in the proper

    @ che
in the Catholic church whenever a priest goes on retirement is termed resignation

  • kuba 8 years ago

retirement means not performing any duty as in the church but with resignation he can perform other duties as well. he can oversee holy mass too. he is just leaving his office after attaining 75 years.
