"Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the days that thou was created, till iniquity (sin)
was found in thee." Ezekiel 28:15 The word perfect here means without sin or sinful nature. At creation God imputed his holy
character to all his creation --Lucifer and all the other angels-- Adam and Eve included.
The written law on on the heart or mind was to be the expression of the standard of God's righteousness (morality, God's character). Sin is the transgression of God's Law (John 3:4). This means that all creation had the law before they could sin. Lucifer and his angels, Adam and Eve could not have sinned without God's law for "the wages of sin is death"
So where was the law written or given before the time of Moses in Exodus 20? Good question. "Hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law... ." Isaiah 51:7 The heart (mind) is where God writes his law. Observe how the second Adam said before his incarnation in Psalm 40:7-8:"Then said l, Lo, l come: in the volume of the book it is written of me, l delight to do thy will, O my God: yea thy law is within my heart."

4 Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world"

This statement is not as straight forward as is presented. When God causes prophecies to be fulfilled, it is not on account of the prophet but by the will of himself.

No prophecy comes to pass by the desires of men.? 2 Peter 1:21 ?
New International Version
For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

No one can allude to who is a correct prophet and who is not.

As there is only ONE GOD, so too, there is ONLY ONE HOLY SPIRIT. There is no division in God and there is no division in The Spirit. The Spirit is formless and God is formless. ~God moves in mysterious ways which indicates that no man can understand fully the acts of God (The Spirit).

We do not judge acts of the flesh (human) because we may be judging God whose acts the human (flesh) has manifested. Our nature or lack of understanding of God causes the flesh to do acts deemed evil for in God emanates all. Life and death emanates from God as in from his right hand and left hand (figurative).

1John 4 opened with "Test the spirits.. the cocoyam is not different from its peel, the yam is not different from its peel and so is coconut not different from its peel. We choose which part we need and want to use - the outcome is ours (the flesh).

Many Prophets prophecy in electioneering time, but nothing comes out of their predictions. Some do get it correct as in 50/50. It is God who judges all men. We cannot allow ourselves to be lead astray.

Even if you sincerely believe a Prophet to be having a link with God which is the case, be careful messages that are coming your way for God is not definable. In his right hand is life and his left is death.

Many a prophet are deceived because they believe their messages are from God and so there is no need to test.... that is an irony of our faith as Christians. God is a fountain from whom all things flow - not only good things please. The believer has to test ...

Judge no Obinim, not Apraku, not Jehovah's Witnesses and not even Muslims - for God judges all. Test the messages - that is your only obligation.
