14 players selected for Reality show

Accra, Nov 7, GNA - Fourteen players have been selected to participate in the Fifth MTN Soccer Academy - a football reality show organized by Optimum Media Prime (OMP).

The players who were selected from over 200 players, after series of justify your inclusion exercise at the Ajax Park. Legon would be beamed live on Metropolitan Television (Metro TV).

According to the organizers of the competition, the selected players have gone through the necessary medical screening and have been declared fit to be inducted into the Academy House, at a grand ceremony in Accra on Saturday, November 12.

The players would be under the tutelage of former National Under-23 coach David Duncan and former Black Stars striker Augustine Arhinful and the organizers have expressed confidence in the technical expertise of the two technical men.

The 14 selected players have signed contracts with Global FC and SP Mirren and were also given an opportunity to select variety of football kits sponsored by Nike during their visit to the Lizzy Sports Complex at East Legon.

The winner is expected to take home, a Hyundai 4x4 with a cash prize whilst the second placed player will also take home a Hyundai i10 car and an attractive cash prize. They will also have training sessions with English giants Liverpool and Chelsea Football Clubs.
