2011/12 FA Cup launch in Accra on Friday

The much awaited 2011/2012 MTN FA CUP competition will be launched at the Physicians and Surgeons College (near Ridge Roundabout) this Friday November 25 at 6pm.

Expectations are very high for another great competition following the success of last season, the first FA Cup tournament in a decade. Now the organisers have vowed to maintain it every year as they strive to add more incentives and make it more lucrative.

Last year’s surprise winners, Nania FC, the sensational Division One League side owned, bankrolled and coached by soccer legend Abedi Pele, took home a check for GH¢20,000.

But the FA Cup Committee are expected to announce new packages for 2011/12 with the prize money for the winners set to be increased.

The GFA and the FA Cup Committee are respectfully inviting all press houses/club representatives to this grand launch on Friday.
