Ghana’s contingent for 2016 Olympic Games has arrived in Rio for the global multi-sport event. The team left Accra Monday and have been welcomed to the South American country. The team is led by the Chef de Mission, Chris Essilfie.

Ghana is sending 14 athletes to this year’s Olympic Games, which begin on Friday, August 5. The country will be represented by nine track and field athletes, two swimmers, a boxer, a weightlifter and a judoka, who has the brightest chance of reaching the medal’s zone.
