30 Coaches graduate from Right To Play Course

Accra, Sept.29, GNA -- Ghanaian coaches have been called advised to impart the knowledge they acquire to teach sport-talented youth to enable the country be in a better position to produce quality and efficient sportsmen and women.

Mr Emmanuel Ofosu Yeboah, the Disabled Tri-Athlete, made the call at the end of a two-day training course for 30 coaches in Accra on Friday.

The course, organised by the Right To Play, an athlete-driven international humanitarian organization that uses sports and play as a tool for development of children in the most disadvantaged areas, took the participants through the module of the games. The module comprises five different coloured balls that each represents a specific area of child development. Each ball can be used by the coaches in their daily curriculum to help facilitate discussions with their students about important health issues.

Mr Ofosu Yeboah, who has won many international awards including National College Awards in America, expressed the hope that with the knowledge acquired, Ghana would produce healthy sportsmen and women who would be better placed to strive to win laurels. Miss Suzanne Geudeke, Communications Co-ordinator of Right To Play, commended the participants and gave the assurance that her outfit would continue to train more coaches in the country. 29 Sept. 06
