ACCRA, Oct 19 (Reuters)(DS) - Ghana have named nine
foreign-based players in an 18-man squad for next week's Four Nations tournament in Nairobi, organisers said on Thursday.
Coach Fred Osman Duodu recalled defender Joseph Addo, who
plays for Tampa Bay Mutiny in the American MLS, after several years' absence.
Ghana have also called up Bayern Munich reserve Christian
Saba and Bashiru Gambo from Borussia Dortmund for the
tournament, wich sees them play Uganda in the first semifinal next Wednesday.
Kenya and Tanzania play in the other match on Wednesday with the two winners going through to the final on October 28.
Ghana have been unable to call up players from champions
Hearts of Oak who will be involved in a vital African Champions League match in Egypt on October 27.
