A number of referees commended

Accra, Oct. 9, GNA - The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has commended a number of referees for their exceptional performance at the on-going One Touch Premier League.
The referees' commended included Alex Kotey, Vivian Aggor, Eben Furguson and John Listowel Zilevu.
The letters of commendation to the referees were issued and signed by Mr K. Ampim-Darko, Deputy General Secretary of the GFA, copied to the smoke out under-performing officials from the Premiership in their quest to inject sanity and professionalism into the game. Ref. Kotey was commended for the able manner in which he handled the match between Berekum Arsenal and Kpando Heart of Lions where he was said to be in absolute control and displaying perfect knowledge of the laws of the game.
Miss Aggor was said to have lived up to expectation during the third week match between Real Sportive and Power.
Ref. Ferguson was said to have performed exceptionally well despite the fact that it rained most of the time and that he scored high marks in all departments of the game.
Ref. Zilevu was commended for handling the match between King Faisal and Liberty professionals to the admiration of the teams, club officials and spectators.
