AAG: Black Princesses beat Algeria

Ghana's Black Princesses beat hosts Algeria 2-1 at the Zerealda Stadium in the opening Group B match of the 9th All Africa Games.

The West Africans, who are making their debut at the competition, are being represented by their U-19 women's side.


In Group A, African Champions Nigeria came back from a two goal deficit to draw 2-2 with South Africa at the Bologhine stadium.


The Super Falcons levelled through Ifeanyi Chiejine and Tawa Ishola.

The next round matches are scheduled for 12 July.


Nigeria will play Ethiopia in Group A, while hosts Algeria seek to restore their pride against debutants, Senegal in Group B in Zerealda.
