AC Milan have joined the race for Udinese midfielder Sulley Muntari.
The Ghana international is already the subject of a ?10 million offer from Spartak Moscow, but is understood to be lukewarm on a move to Russia.
Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp is a self-confessed fan of Muntari and backed by club owner Alexandre Gaydamak is expected to make a serious bid for the midfield powerhouse next month.
Milan want Muntari to strengthen their central midfield options and have already asked for a price. Given the prospect of a big-money auction, Udinese are demanding ?12 million for the African.
