Enterprising defender Abeiku Ainooson has assured Kotoko fans to he will sign a new contract with the club.
The 22-year-old’s existing contract with the Ghanaian champions will run out in June, but is yet to agree a deal with the Kumasi-based giants.
“Kotoko is a big club and I'm ready to extend my stay with Kotoko because I will not be signing the contract for myself, but for the fans because they have been there for me and this is the time for me to say thank you to them due to what ‘one’ of the fans did by voting 1000 times for me,” he told All Sports.
Ainooson also speaks about Kotoko's ambitions going into next season’s CAF Champions League competition.
“The life patron of the club – Otumfuo Osei Tutu- has told us to go and win the champions league trophy so our target is winning the ultimate,” he added.
