Ghana striker David Accam received a red card in the dying embers of Chicago Fire’s 1-0 away defeat at Sporting Kansas City on Sunday.
The 24-year-old was sent off by referee Jose Rivero in the 89th-minute after the ex-Helsingborg attacker got tangled up with a Sporting Kansas City defender.
Accam, who has now grabbed just one goal in four MLS appearances, will miss Chicago Fire’s next two matches against Real Salt Lake on May 9th and New York City on May 15th.
Accam’s Chicago Fire is currently placed 6th on the Eastern Conference table of the MLS with 9 points from 7 games.
