Adansiman Sure of Returning to the Premiership

Obuasi Adansiman, division one campaigners who have qualified for this year's sub middle league, on Wednesday declared that nothing will impede their march to the Premiere Division next season.

Speaking to GNA Sports at Obuasi, Alhaji Ibrahim Tahiru, chairman of the club, told GNA Sports that even though they have respect for all the clubs that have qualified for the middle league, "my boys are not afraid of any of the them and I hopeful that we would soon be back in the premier league"

He was emphatic that apart from Kotoko and Hearts, Adansiman is the next traditional club with very large following. He said this, therefore, would make the players draw inspiration from their loyal supporters to be able to clear all hurdles to the premier league.

"We are enjoying total support from the Obuasi community and with the cordial relations existing between us and Goldfields Sporting Club, the sky would be our limit," the chairman said.

He commended the playing body for the commitment they have shown so far and stressed, "I do not have any problem with the players in terms of discipline."

The Chairman indicated that the only problem facing the club now is finance and appealed to good people who have made promises to assist the club to honour them without delay.

"There are promises from groups and individuals including the Adansi West District Assembly and we are waiting for them."

He also threw a strong challenge to the indigenous citizens both at home and abroad to show an interest in the club by contributing in cash and in kind to strengthen the club.

Meanwhile the Adansi West District assembly at its meeting at Obuasi has expressed its willingness to assist the club in view of its splendid performance so far.

Mr Joe Boampong, the District Chief Executive, invited members of the assembly to appreciate the seriousness of the team to qualify for the premier league and urged them to lead discussions on how much to give to the club.
