DORTMUND STRIKER Otto Addo failed to show up for training yesterday but also failed to link up with the Ghanaian national squad as well. Ghana face Sudan in a World Cup qualifier at the weekend and Addo had been picked to play in the game.
However, Dortmund were still hopeful of reaching an agreement with the Ghanaian FA for the 25-year-old to be excused so that he could play in the match against Schalke.
Nevertheless, Addo did not link up with the Ghana squad with BVB coach Matthias Sammer admitting yesterday: "Otto is here but don't ask me why."
IT WOULD appear Borussia Dortmund have found some reason to prevent the player having to make the trip home and it would now seem that Addo is set to play for his club this weekend instead.
