The National Associations (Old Boys) of Mfantsipim School (MOBA) and Adisadel College (Santaclausians) have launched the 14th edition of the Mfantsipim-Adisadel Funday at the Coconut Groove Regency Hotel in Accra.
The event scheduled to take place on August 30 at the El-Wak Sports Stadium will witness eight participating schools including Adisadel College, Mfatsipim, Wesley Girls, Mfatsiman Girls, Holy Child, Ola Girls, Aggrey Memorial and the Ghana National Senior High School.
The theme of the event dubbed, “Uniting a Generation of Change Makers” will bring together past and present students, provide a platform for business networking, offer patrons and sponsors the opportunity to share business experiences informally and provide companies with a platform to position their corporate products and services to the over 3000 people expected and provide an opportunity to raise money to develop the schools involved.
The National President of the Association, Frankline Kwabena Nuamah said the Mfantsipim-Adisadel Funday Games served to unite the members and raise funds to develop the schools.
He said, “We as a school see a common value and goal, especially with the Christian upbringing and Christian background. Being in this country, most of us have been very successful in terms of our professions and we need to unite and give back to our nation and serve as role models to the younger generation.
“It is a very good event which will foster a relationship with the schools and to the nation. There is a positive rivalry between these schools bringing them together to connect since it has been ages since we met”.
Activities lined up for the event include Cricket, Football, Basketball, athletics and a special ‘Jama competition’ with a trophy at stake for the winner.
