Ex-Asante Kotoko striker Prince Adu Poku has revealed the club blocked his move to German outfit Hamburg.
The former BA United striker says the German outfit were interested in his signature but the Ghanaian giants blocked his move to the European country during the Herbert Mensah administration.
“If I say it didn’t affect me, I will be lying, It started with when we went to Germany, Hamburg wanted me,” he is quoted by footballmadeinghana
“They (Kotoko) said we should come back to Ghana and they will give me what the German club was offering, at that time they wanted to make me captain, I was then the deputy.
“They promised me the captaincy and an improved contract.
“When we returned, I had the accident three days later and it destroyed everything.
“But in everything let’s give thanks to God, so far as there is life, nothing else matters.” he narrated.
