Dethroned Ghanaian champions Aduana Stars insist head coach Herbert Addo will be in charge of the club next season following reports of his imminent dismissal in the local media.
The future of the ex-Asante Kotoko boss has been speculated after the conclusion of the top-flight league.
Reports in the local media have been rife that he will leave by mutual consent following his failure to defend the Premier League title this season.
Addo is reported to be enduring a strained relationship with the club’s Chief Executive Officer after the two clashed during a league match at home against Medeama SC on 18 May.
Ex-AshantiGold coach David Duncan has been heavily linked with the job while former Heart of Oak Paa Kwesi Fabian is also rumoured to be on the radar of the club.
But the Dormaa Ahenkro-based have moved quickly to squash such reports.
“As far as we’re concerned, coach Addo is very happy at Aduana and don’t know where these stories are coming from. They are untrue and I can assure you that he’ll be with us next season,” The club’s Director of Operations George Gyau said
