Afful’s Columbus Crew notch win against San Jose Earthquakes

Ghana’s Harrison Afful made a splash in Saturday’s 2-0 Columbus Crew victory against the San Jose Earthquakes.

Goals from Ethan Finlay and Justin Meram ensured the victory was sealed in front of more than 20000 fans.

In the first half, Afful saw a tantalising cross into the box wasted as Adam Jahn wasted the effort.

Columbus crew now have 26 points after 25 matches and lie in ninth place on the 10-team Eastern Conference table.
