Asante Kotoko coach Didi Dramani insists that though the Ghana league has not still commenced, he is sure that the playing body will go very far in the CAF Champions League.
The porcupine Warriors crushed out of the Champions League early in the qualifying stages last season, an action the coach admitted they have learnt from.
“Last season we took things for granted and we were eliminated even before we could reach halfway near our goal. But this time we are not resting on our oars, because we don’t want Africa to take us by surprise again”, the coach in a chat with sportscrusader.com revealed.
Kotoko like any of the other teams on the Ghana league, has been embarking on interclub friendly matches, an action the coach believes has given the playing body the needed exposure ahead of the Champions League.
“The league has not started, but no one is going to push the date of the Champions League any forward for us to get our acts together so we are getting ready. Until the league starts we are going to continue playing friendly matches both in Ghana and beyond so that it will keep the team on its toes”, he added.
