Liberian connection lifts Al Jazira

MONROVIA: Liberia internationals George Weah and James Debah were both on target as Al Jazira beat Dubai Club 3-2 and moved to the top of the league standings in the United Arab Emirates. Tanzania's Kabouka scored one of the goals for Dubai Club.

Egypt to miss Mido and Ramzy

CAIRO: Ahmed 'Mido' Hossam of Ajax and Hani Ramzy from Bundesliga side Kaiserslautern will not be available for Egypt's clash with United Arab Emirates in a testimonial for UAE star Zuhari Bekhit in Dubai this weekend.

Champions Nigeria under pressure

LAGOS: Defending champions Nigeria will be hard pushed to win against Mali Friday in continuation of the African Women Championship. The Nigerian Falcons lost their second group game 1-0 to rivals Ghana. The top teams from each group will qualify for the semi-finals of the tournament which will produce two African representatives for next year's World Cup in China.

YAOUNDE: First division Mount Cameroon are favourites to win the FA Cup in only their first appearance in the final. The first division side, who placed sixth in the league in October, are up against Sable of Batie in the final, whose date has yet to be announced.
