Ghana U20 Management Committee chairman George Afriyie is sure the Black Satellites will earn valuable experience from their international friendly with the Qatari U23 side on Tuesday evening.

Sellas Tetteh’s boys are in the Arabian peninsula seeking to beat Qatar’s Olympic team at their own backyard.

The Black Satellites have reached the Senegal 2015 African Youth Championship finals and the team’s management headed by youth development specialist George Afriyie is keen to gain enough exposure for the boys through international friendlies.

“The Premier League is still on recess and you need to keep the boys in shape and also build their mentality towards international competition. Any international match has a great impact on team building,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com.

After Tuesday’s friendly, the team will travel back to Accra on Wednesday but will fly back to Egypt to take on Egypt’s U23 side next week.

“We are expected to be back home on Wednesday then fly back to Egypt on Friday to play against Egypt’s U23 side,” he revealed.

Ghana have performed creditably at CAF and FIFA U20 competitions after the Black Satellites reached the medal zones four times in five attempts since 2009.
