Accra, Jan. 24, GNA - Ghanaian referee, Justus Agbeko has been appointed by the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) to officiate in the first leg preliminary match of the MTN/CAF Champions League game between Racing Club de Yassousam of Cameroon and Donjon of Benin in Doula, Cameroon on Sunday, January 30.
Referee Agbeko will be assisted on the lines by two of his fellow Ghanaian compatriots, Accra based Sam Quaye and Harruna Ayuba of Tamale. Information reaching the GNA Sports indicates that the three Ghanaian referees are expected to depart Accra on Wednesday, January 26 for Cameroon upon the receipt of their air tickets from the home team. Referee Agbeko is among a few Ghanaian referees who has benefited from constant appointments from CAF to officiate in international matches.
He is on record to have handled series of international matches in the 2004 soccer season.
