Agbovi, Nunoo handed Africa action this weekend

Two Ghanaian FIFA referees Thomas Nunoo and William Agbovi have been appointed by CAF to officiate in the CAF Confederation Cup and Champions League respectively this weekend.

The former, Nunoo, 41 who was in charge of Berekum Arsenal’s one all draw with leaders Medeama in the Glo Premier League last Wednesday will travel to Banjul with fellow countrymen Ibrahim Adam Badiu and Leonard Armah as his assistants when Gambian FA Cup winners Gamtel play host to Club Sportif Sfaxien of Tunisia in a second leg of the last 32 tie of the 2013 CAF Confederation League.

The Match Commissioner for the game in Banjul will be Kone Ardiouma of Côte d’Ivoire

On the other hand, 40-year-old Agbovi has been handed this weekend’s CAF Champions League round of 16 second leg tie between Djoliba Athletic Club de Bamako and St. George in Mali.

He will be assisted on the lines by Tamale-based AS Malik and David Laryea while Cecil Amatey Fleischer will be the fourth. Togolese Lawson Laté will be the Match Commissioner for this game
