Samuel Opoku Nti, Acting General Manager of Kotoko, has rued poor officiating decisions by FIFA certified referee, William Agbovi, who oversaw the second leg of the Super 2 clash between Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko at the Accra Sports Stadium last night.
The Red Army struck first in the 26th minute through Frank Sarfo Gyamfi, it took a late penalty awarded to the Rainbow club by Agbovi for the two sides to pull even.
Hearts lost the 1st leg in Kumasi by a 0 – 2 margin, in that fixture, one of the goals, was also controversially conceded from the penalty spot.
In a post-match interview, Opoku Nti insisted his side was done in by Agbovi’s performance.
“It was a good exercise for both sides, but referee William Agbovi marred the beauty of the game with his dubious decision but life goes on. What else more can I say?” Opoku Nti said in a sullen manner.
