Agona Swedru, March 19, GNA - Agona Fankobaa made a good start in the Central Region Division Two League when they whipped Bobikuma Nana Buabin F/C 2-0 when the League commenced last week at all the centres. After a goalless first half, Fankobaa took absolute control of the match and scored the opener in the 55th minute through midfielder, Idris Yusif.
Nana Buabin F/C returned the attack and made frantic efforts to equalize but their hopes of drawing level were shattered when inside right, Solomon Odoom increased his side's goal tally to two in the 86th minute.
Results of other matches were: Cape Coast Nada Ahli Rovers spanked Abreshia Nsamka F/C 2-0, Abreshia United F/C beat Brenu-Akyenim Shallom 1-0, Cape Coast Liberty Rainbow drew 0 -0 against Jukwa Surowi. Efutu Citrus Professionals were decisioned 1-3 by Adisadel Astronomers, Dunkwa On-Offin Republikans lost 0-1 to Assin North United F/C, Denkyira United beat Assin Kushea Owirenkyem 2-0.
Assin Adiembra United Stars drew 1-1 with Adansi Praso WAECO, Assin Akrofuom Santos lost 1-2 to Dunkwa On-Offin Starke F/C, Amosima Kingdom Stars lost 0-1 to Saltpond Kampsite.
Mankessim Striking Force beat Odona Schalke O4 1-0. Eguase Youngsters and Mankessim Mighty Victory played a goalless drawn game, Abandze Bronby beat Mankessim Great Royals 1-0. Lower Bobikuma Agonaman tied 1-1 against Breman Asikuma Rocks, Pomadze Albafos whipped Takyiman Diag Mafreye 3-0 with Buduburam F/C pipping Mankoadze Asaase F/C 1-0.
Ofankor Shepherd Stars drew 2-2 against Nyanyano United, Senya Bereku URB lost 1-3 to Buduburam Bendu Enforcers, Mampong Hikings F/C beat Akotsi Janak 2-1.
