Louis Agyemang has snubbed Accra Hearts of Oak and signed up with Kumasi Asante Kotoko in a bid to resurrect a career that has gone downhill in the last few years.

The striker whose goals were key in helping Hearts win the 2004 Confederations Cup had been in talks with the Phobians about rejoining them when he returned from South Africa but the two could not agree on the financial terms of the deal.

Kotoko took full advantage last week and KickOffGhana.com understands offered the player a better package to add to the impressive list of strikers at the club on a three-year deal.

Agyemang is keen to establish himself after failing first to impress at Kaizer Chiefs before spending time in the First Division of South Africa.

It was not what had been expected of a player who was tipped to become a Black Stars regular when he burst unto the scene, but he believes he can get back on that track with the Porcupine Warriors who will be defending the League crown when it gets underway on November 23, and are due to play in next season's African Champions League.

Agyeman will have a former team mate with him in the Kotoko dressing room too. Sannie Mohammed, the regular Hearts goalkeeper from that Confederations Cup run has also joined Kotoko after being up for sale by the Phobians.

Another new comer to the Porcupine Warriors is Samuel Nzemaba, the former Real Sportive left back, who Kotoko turned to after failing to land Harrison Afful.
