Striker Ahmed Toure admits there is heightened expectations of him on his return to Asante Kotoko.
The 27-year-old signed a three-year contract earlier this week to mark his return to the club he left acrimoniously two seasons ago.
Staunch supporters of the club have splashed gifts – plots of land and a car – on the Ivorian striker as a top up to the GHS 80,000 he will be earning from his contract.
The ex Lokeren player is admits he will have to perform better this time around with the fans expecting more on his return.
“I know with all these gifts comes with a heightened pressure to perform,” he told Metro FM. “But I am a guy who excels under pressure so I am ready for it.”
Toure will be unveiled in Kotoko’s pre-season friendly match against BA Stars on Saturday.
