Hearts of Oak coach CK Akunnor says the momentary loss in concentration is to blame for his side’s 2-1 loss to Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League derby.

The game looked destined to end in a draw following a superb free kick by Mahatma Otoo in injury time to cancel out Kofi Nti-Boakye's first half strike.

But the Porcupine Warriors replied instantly with a wonderful long range shot from Michael Akuffo to ensure Kotoko stretches its lead over Hearts to a staggering 13 points.

Akunnor in sharing his disappointment with the result said his players we punished for taking their eyes off the ball after snatching the equalizer.

"We lacked a little bit of concentration especially when we scored the equalizer," he said in the post-match interview.

"It was from (Kotoko’s second goal) a moment of magic and I want to congratulate Konadu (Kotoko coach) and his players for the win."

Sunday's win - the first in seven years over Hearts in Kumasi puts Kotoko well on course to clinch their 22nd league title with six matches to go.
