All Blacks beat Dwarfs in a friendly march

Cape Coast, Aug. 17, GNA - Newly promoted Premier Division club, Gamba All Blacks proved that they are 91combat ready' for the Premier League when they whipped Cape Coast Mysterious Dwarfs 3-1 in a special friendly match at the Robert Mensah stadium on Wednesday at Cape Coast.

All Blacks last Sunday beat Cape Coast Venomous Vipers 2-0, the local rivals of Dwarfs in a similar encounter. The two friendly matches were to round off All Blacks training programme before the commencement of the Premier League on Sunday, August 20.

In Wednesday's encounter with Dwarfs, the visitors started the match on a fast note and took an early lead in the fifth minute through their midfielder, Bismark Idun.

The early goal gave the Gamba lads the 91tonic' to probe for more goals but their forwards threw away a number of begging chances that came their way.

Dwarfs gradually came into the picture and made gallant efforts to level up the scores but the iron-clad defence of All Blacks kept them at bay till the end of the first half.

All Blacks continued to dictate the pace of the game on resumption of the second half and it came as no surprise when in the 61st minute, inside right, Richard Anderson raised his side's goal tally to 2. Dwarfs managed to pull back a goal in the 68th minute through a penalty expertly taken by Ahmed Rashid.

Richard Anderson, who played a yeoman's game for All Blacks, increased the goal tally to three in the 75th minute to seal the doom of Dwarfs.
