Ghana defender Daniel Amartey is bidding his time in his quest to break into Leicester City's starting team, but hopes it is sooner rather than later.
The 21-year-old joined the English Premier League side from Danish outfit Copenhagen in January, but was largely limited to substitute appearances as Leicester won the topflight title for the first time ever.
The versatile man had one start and four substitute outings to his name.
“There are good and quality players there, so the competition is very tight,” Amartey told Starr FM.
“Europe is very different; you don’t just go and expect to get a starting place.
"You have to work very hard to get into the starting line-up because there are good players.
“But I believe it is a matter of time. Next year, I will work hard to get regular playing time."
Amartey has also previously played for Swedish side Djurgadens and Inter Allies in his homeland, Ghana.
