Panelists at this programme included Kofi Manu, A GHALCA official (BOfoakwa Tano's rep), Maurice Quansah, a journalist from Daily Graphic and covering the Stars' preparations and Sannie Abdulai, a presenter at Choice FM. Jacob Nettey was also a guest at the programme.

Here are the highlights ....

  • Sammy Kuffour had a bout of verbal fisticuffs with the Minister of Youth and Sports ... Kuffour had reported late to the meeting at the President's house and was accosted by the minister - he was the only one not in the approved team uniform. The Minister is said to be a nice man, but also very temperamental. In fact, instruction was relayed to have Kuffour dropped until some folks begged for his inclusion. Kuffour has been tagged the most indisciplined player in camp.

  • Sammy Kuffour refused to stay in camp with the rest of the players and preferred to drive from Accra every day. It is contributory factor to his tag as the most indisciplined player in camp.

  • Emmanuel Osei-Kuffour only made the team to Mali because Stephen Appiah could not make it.

  • Princeton Owusu-Ansah's appointment as captain was heavily vetoed by the the powers that be ... leading to Kuffour's Emmanuel Osei-Kuffour appointment's

  • Osam Duodo is reported to have vowed to teach the Hearts of Oak players a lesson for making fun of him. Apparently, the issue is that the players think Osam is not up to the task. Panelists on the program say, Osam has vowed never to field Ishmael Addo, as part of his pay-back to the Hearts players.

  • Jacob Nettey revealed that Osam had accused him of indiscipline .... he said, Osam believes his (Nettey) girl-friend had been bringing him food at the Stars camp. Jacob revealed that the lady was Baffour Gyan's sister who brought food to Baffour Gyan and Ibrahim Razak. Nettey said he was only an invitee to the meals. Jacob believes that Osam's action is part of his vow to "show" the Hearts players.

  • Charles Taylor was supposedly dropped for indiscipline - being late a couple of times (if I got it correctly).

  • The friendly with the Meteors was cancelled by Osam because Taylor was to feature for the Meteors and the fear was that Taylor was going to use the occasion to make his case for inclusion in the team.

  • George Blay did not go with the team to Mali and was left in Accra, because he returned from Takoradi and was too drunk to board the flight. He is to travel to join the team on Tuesday.

  • The GHALCA Rep, intimated that Osam had specifically made a statement to a couple of GHALCA members indicating that this was going to be his last ever time in charge and thus was his opportunity to make money.
