Former Ghana youth international Amidu Salifu is training with Fiorentina in Sankt Johann, Austria for pre-season.
The invitation from head coach Paulo Sousa has boosted his chances of staying with La Viola for this season’s Serie A campaign after recent loan spells.
Salifu has been in the books of Fiorentina since 2010 but has spent loan spells at Catania, Modena and Perugia.
Last season, he was with Brescia where he made 13 appearances.
The 23-year-old has signed a new two-year deal contract extension.
