Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Felix Annan on Tuesday night left the shores of the country to join Belgian top flight side Club Brugge for a two-week observation.
The 18-year old former Feyenoord trainee finally got the green light to leave for Belgium after initial delays due to difficulties in acquiring a visa.
Annan has relatively had game time this season making only two appearances so far for the Porcupine Warriors in the Glo Premier League. He has been in competition with experienced goalkeepers in Abdoulaye Soulama and Isaac Amoako for the number one spot of the defending Premier League champions.
The Ghana Under-20 fine shot-stopper was expected to join the Black Satellites who this week, have begun preparations towards the U-20 World Cup in Turkey but has been excused to join Club Brugge on trials. Annan's departure also confirms he is out of Sunday's Premier League clash with arch rivals Accra Hearts of Oak after making the bench in Kotoko's 1-0 victory over Tema Youth last Wednesday.
Felix Annan who has a year and half left in his contract with Asante Kotoko was the first choice goalkeeper for the Ghana-U20 side until he was displaced by Amidaus Professionals’ Eric Ofori Antwi at the 2013 Africa Youth Championship.
