Another Kotoko Protest Thrown Out

The Appeals Committee of the Ghana Football Association has thrown out a protest filed by Kumasi Asante Kotoko for a replay of their league match against Tano-Bofoakwa .

The game ended abruptly after a soccer fan dressed in the colours of Kotoko, threw a pair of boots at the referee. The referee was unable to continue with proceedings while the irate fan also escaped arrest.

After the abrupt end of the game, the FA’s Disciplinary Committee ruled against Asante-Kotoko and deducted three points from their accumulated score build up and a further loss of three goals from their haul.

Asante Kotoko lodged a protest with the FA’s Disciplinary Committee for a replay, which was quashed as Bofoakwa also called for a replay.

Asante Kotoko still have two cases at the FA pending before its Appeals and Disciplinary Committees.
