Ghana midfielder Anthony Annan says he would prefer a permanent switch to Dutch Eredivisie side Vitesse Arnhem.
Annan featured 25 times for Vitesse and helped them to secure a Europa League berth for next season after joining them on loan from German giants Schalke 04 in August.
He could get the chance to stake his claim for a first team place at Schalke during pre-season but the 25-year-old prefers to stay in Holland.
“The coach who signed me to Schalke lost his job so a lot of issues happened but since I went to Vitesse I’ve had regular first team action and I’m glad about that,” Annan said.
“If Vitesse wants me on permanent basis why not? I would stay and play regularly than go warm the bench elsewhere.”
Annan reported to the Black Stars camp arrived for two 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
