….as Lord Zico claims to have access to league fixtures
Some Division one Club officials in Brong-Ahafo have expressed concern about the seepage of the upcoming league fixtures to some Management Members of their competitive clubs.
The Vice Chairman of Dormaa based Aduana Football Club, Mr. Takyi Arhin a.k.a Thunder, has accused the Chief Executive Officer of Sunyani-based Space F/C, Mr. Kingsley Osei Bonsu a.k.a Lord Zico, for going round claiming that he has had a copy of the fixtures to Sports Presenters in Sunyani.
According to Mr. Arhin, the attitude of Lord Zico has the tendency to create unnecessary tension that would mar the beauty of football in the region, because some of the club may doubt the fairness of the Division One League Board and the Football Association in general.
He disclosed that Lord Zico even went to the extent of stating that Bechem F/C would play B/A United at Bechem, Wa F/C would play host to Space F/C, whilst Tano Bofoakwa plays Aduana F/C in Sunyani.
According to Thunder, the most annoying aspect of the whole thing was that, his colleague Lord Zico brags that as a Member of the F.A Executive Committee, he has gotten a whole copy of the league fixtures of the Division One League. He asked if what Zico was saying is true, then where lies the oath of secrecy sworn by the members of the Executive Committee of the F.A?
The Chairman of the Division One League Board, Mr. Kwame Ntow Fianko was surprised during a telephone interview, denying the claims of Lord Zico that the fixtures were out and he was having a copy.
He said even the Technical Committee of the Division One League Fixtures have not yet submitted the fixtures to the Board, so how come an Official of a Club gain access to a copy.
Mr. Ntow advised other Club members to disregard the claims of the Space F/C CEO since it was not true.
However some section of the public claims that so if the fixtures comes out and what Mr. Kingsley Osei Bonsu was saying turn to be the same what would be the stance of the Division One Board?
Mr. Takyi Arhin could not understand the reason why ever since Lord Zico became an Executive Member of the F.A from the time he was with B.A United F/C, through Aduana to Space F/C all his first league matches has been played in Wa.
He suspects some foul deals between members of the Division One League Board and Mr. Osei Bonsu, which needed urgent attention to save the league. In an interview with the CEO of B/A United F/C, Mr. Kwadwo-Ntim Charles a.k.a Micky Charles, he admitted that he has heard that some people have come out with the league fixtures in town.
He said supporters of his club B/A United F/C have called him to verify the authenticity of the alleged league fixtures but after he consulted the Board Chairman he denied that the fixtures were not out yet.
Micky Charles however called on the Division One League Board and the Ghana Football Association to investigate into the matter considering the tension that has generated out of the unfortunate leakage of the fixtures. He advised that the Football Association should not countenance the reaction of the said Club Official but investigate and come out with the necessary sanctions on the people involve if it turns out to be true.
